Purrdle Privacy Policy

Sound Grounds Limited ("SoundGrounds", "we", "us", "our") is a New Zealand company and the publisher of Purrdle, a daily cat breed guessing game. This policy explains what information Purrdle collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written to comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Information we collect

Purrdle does not require an account or any sign-in, and does not ask you for your name, email address, or any other personal details.

Gameplay information, stored only on your device

• Your current and best daily streak
• The date you last completed a puzzle

This information is stored locally on your device and is never sent to us or to any server we operate. We have no way to see it, and it is deleted if you uninstall the app.

Advertising identifier

Purrdle shows ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (subject to Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission on iOS) to show and measure ads. If you're in the EEA, UK, or a US state with applicable privacy laws, Purrdle also shows Google's consent form before ads are requested, so you can choose whether ads are personalized. This is handled directly between your device and Google; see Google's Privacy Policy for how they handle this data.

Purchase information (if you buy Remove Ads)

If you buy the one-time "Remove Ads" unlock, your purchase status is managed via our subscription platform, RevenueCat, so the unlock is remembered if you reinstall the app. Payment details themselves — card numbers and similar — are handled entirely by Apple's or Google's app store and are never seen by Purrdle or RevenueCat.

We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, browsing history, or any health information, and we do not operate any account system.

How we use information

We use the information described above only to show and measure ads, and to remember your Remove Ads purchase if you make one. We have no server that stores or processes your gameplay data, so there is nothing else for us to use it for.

We do not sell your information.

Who we share information with

• Google AdMob — shows and measures ads; may use your device's advertising identifier as described above
• RevenueCat — manages Remove Ads purchase status with Apple's and Google's app stores; only used if you make that purchase

We do not share your information with data brokers, and we do not sell your data.

Data retention

Your streak and last-played date live only on your device for as long as you keep the app installed. Uninstalling Purrdle permanently deletes this information, since we hold no copy of it ourselves.

Children's privacy

Purrdle does not knowingly collect personal information from children, since it does not collect any personal information at all — the only data described in this policy is either stored solely on-device or governed by the advertising identifier permissions your device's operating system already asks you for.

International users

Purrdle is available worldwide. This policy is written to comply with New Zealand law, since Sound Grounds Limited is a New Zealand company. If you are located elsewhere, additional local laws may also apply to how your information is handled.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
